Engagement rates on Instagram are typically calculated by dividing the average number of Likes and Comments by the number of Followers to get a percentage. Accounts with less followers often have higher engagement rates than those with many more followers. So how do you compare accounts with vastly different follower? By using the engagement dial!
The engagement dial shows you how this account's engagement rate compares to other Instagram accounts of a similar size. Socialpeeks uses industry benchmarks for engagement rates so that the dial can help you easily compare influencer Instagram accounts.
Socialpeeks was designed for brand marketers who frequently operate "campaigns". A campaign is really just a way of organizing specific marketing activities taking place over a set period of time or budget.
When using Socialpeeks you must first create a Campaign. Within that campaign you will create influencer list(s). You can then save Instagram accounts to your list(s). When your influencers start creating Instagram post and stories for your brand all the content and results will be automatically captured in a live campaign report.
NOTE: You must set the Socialpeeks Influencer Analyzer Chrome Extension to the campaign you are working on, by clicking the menu at the top right. Once you set the campaign you will see it appear in the top banner and when you click Save & Evaluate you will see all the influencer list within that campaign.
The circular icon over the Instagram account profile picture indicates the Instagram account type. There are four types of Instagram accounts:
Business | Creator | Public | Private
Hover over the icon to read the account type and view the contact email address associated with that account. While hovering over the icon, you can even copy the email address to your clipboard for quickly pasting into an email.
When you save an Instagram account to a list for the first time Socialpeeks pops open a new browser tab to reveal the influencer report.
Socialpeeks is pulling data directly from Instagram (i.e. Facebook) and this can take some time. These reports typically take over a minute to load so just be patient OR refresh your browser if you have been waiting more than one minute.
Many in the marketing industry feel that Instagram collaborations with brands should be clearly identified as sponsored content. Influencers are asked to use specific #hashtags, in their content, that indicates when their post or story is part of a brand collaboration.
Socialpeeks identifies post containing any of the standard brand collaboration #hashtags so that you can easily see what brands an influencer has worked with and the quality of their brand collaborations.
Example: #Sponsored | #Ad | #promoted
When you first launch the Socialpeeks Influencer Analyzer it uses the accounts last 12 post. Accessing Instagram data takes time so the analyzer initially takes a small sample so you have a nice snappy experience.
But what if you want to know more about an account. Viewing more of someones Instagram history is particularly useful in the content tab when you want to view someone's previous #sponsored post. You likely want to search further back into someone's post history to see more of their previous brand collaborations. Well don't worry you can.
Every time you click the Load More Post button that analyzer will go 12 more post further back into some's Instagram history. With only 5 clicks you can analyze an account's las 60 post....but feel free to go as far back as you need.
For anyone that doesn't know, Facebook owns Instagram. This means all the data on Instagram (likes, comments, Instagram insights) is all stored at Facebook. Facebook controls this Instagram data and has made sure that everyone's Instagram Insights data are private to the owner of the Instagram account.
Socialpeeks has been approved by Facebook themselves to access Instagram information on behalf of marketers. Facebook requires that you sign in with a Facebook business account on Socialpeeks, in order to access Instagram data.
It is very important to note that when signing in with Facebook you will be asked to grant Socialpeeks permissions and need to accept them in order to access Instagram data.
NOTE: Don't worry, Socialpeeks DOES NOT interact with with your Instagram account, nor your Facebook Page/ads in any way.
